Are you trying to conceive, or are you afraid you might have fertility problems? If so, it’s important to know when the best time to consider fertility Plus tests for males. Here we will look at when men should have fertility tests and what those tests involve.

One of the most important times for men to have fertility tests is when they are trying to conceive. This is because some fertility issues can only be diagnosed with a proper test, and it’s important to get those issues resolved before you start actively trying to have a baby.

The main male fertility test that is done when men are trying to conceive is a semen analysis. This involves checking the man’s sperm count and motility, as well as looking for any irregularity in his sperm shape or movement. The results of this test will tell you whether your partner needs treatment before you start trying to conceive, which could save months or even years of frustration if there are problems with his fertility.

Another time when men should have fertility tests is after they’ve been trying to conceive for at least a year. This may seem like a long time, but it can take some couples up to one year of regular sex without birth control before they conceive. If you haven’t conceived by this point, there’s likely something wrong with either your partner or yourself. So head to the doctor for an initial round of fertility testing.

There could be various reasons why conception hasn’t happened yet, from hormone disorders, dysfunction in the male reproductive system, and even lifestyle factors such as smoking and drinking alcohol (which are bad news for sperm count). It doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to conceive naturally, but it could speed things up if you receive fertility treatment.

If you are over 40, it’s a good idea to have fertility tests at least once every three years (especially if you and your partner haven’t conceived yet). This is because men often experience declining fertility rates as they age. This is another situation in which a semen analysis is important for identifying potential problems with male fertility.

If it comes back abnormal, then further testing may need to be done. But if your results come back normal, or if there was something wrong with your test but it has since been resolved, then it’s likely that starting and maintaining healthy habits will ensure you have a good chance of conceiving naturally.

So when should men have fertility tests? The answer is: it depends. If you’re a man who has been trying to conceive for more than six months without success, or if your partner is having trouble getting pregnant, it might be time to get checked out. There are other signs that you might be infertile as well, such as age (men over 40 are at higher risk), abnormal sperm production or morphology, and a history of testicular cancer. If you experience any of these symptoms, don’t hesitate to make an appointment with your doctor, the earlier you catch infertility, the sooner you can start treatment.
