The government launched Aayushman Bharat Digital Mission to ensure that each citizen from the rural and urban parts of the country receives the best medical service.

It is initiated to develop the backbone necessary for the digitalization of the health sector in the country.

Importance of digital health ID

The digital health ID will connect the different stakeholders of the health sector. The government aims to connect patients and doctors with real-time health records, making the treatment-taking process easier for everyone. The digital health mission will focus on giving a proper structure to India’s healthcare industry. By having the national health card download, we can all support this government initiative to revolutionize the medical sector.

The common man should have a card issued by the ministry of health and family welfare to access the benefits given by the government. The 14-digit unique code will give everyone a unique health account where the previous medical treatment and illness records will be stored. The process to get the digital health ID card should be in the knowledge of each citizen to make sure everyone gets access to these schemes and support the initiative of the government to digitalize the health sector and make it convenient for each of us.

There are two ways to apply for the digital health id. The first way is you can register for it with the help of an Aadhar card, and the second is by choosing to use a driving license.

Both ways can be explained with the help of the following points:

Aadhar

The Aadhar ID can generate a national health ID under the digital health mission. The Aadhar should be linked to your normal contact number. You will receive the OTP on the linked number, which you will need for authentication. If the mobile number is not linked to the Aadhar, you can seek assistance from the participating facility at the Aayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).

Driving License

If you use the driving license to register your name to get the Abha card, you will only receive the enrollment number from the ABDM portal. After receiving the enrollment, you must take your license to the nearest ABDM participating facility to verify the identity card. After the completion of the process, the digital health ID will be generated, and you can have your national health authority card download.

Other documents are necessary for the registration process as follows:

You will have to do is put the information from some necessary documents. The documents which are needed to put the information are as follows:
