Home Remedies to Control High Blood Sugar – Nutrivittles Support

Suppose you want to avoid or put off serious health issues like cardiovascular disease, vision loss, and kidney failure. In that case, you must keep your blood sugar levels within the recommended range as much as possible.

What are the goals for blood sugar?

An ideal blood sugar range is one that you should strive for. Common aims are these:

  • Between 80 and 130 mg/dL in the tummy before eating.
  • Less than 180 mg/dL two hours after the start of a meal.

Your blood sugar support goals could differ from the average because of your age, other health issues, and other variables. Before setting goals, consult with your healthcare providers to ensure they are appropriate.

Are there any natural remedies to control high blood sugar?

High blood glucose levels are associated with the disease known as diabetes. There are potentially fatal complications if these levels are not managed properly. It’s crucial to check blood sugar levels frequently for prevention purposes. When a person has high blood sugar, it’s because their cells have either developed a resistance to insulin or their pancreas cannot produce any. Because of this, glucose tends to accumulate in the blood.

You can also try dietary health supplements to support your blood sugar control. Simple management is possible with the help of some tried and true home remedies for blood sugar. Some of these remedies are:

  • Amla or Indian’s Gooseberry:

The Indian gooseberry, also known as amla, is an excellent source of vitamin C and promotes healthy insulin production, which in turn helps maintain stable blood sugar levels.

Simply remove the seeds from a couple of amlas, grind them into a fine paste, and then squeeze out the juice. 2 tablespoons of this juice should be mixed with a cup of water and consumed first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. For a daily tonic, you can use one tablespoon of this amla juice in one cup of bitter gourd juice. Raw amla should also be consumed daily.

  • Drumstick or Moringa tree leaves:

The drumstick tree leaves are widely regarded for their beneficial effects on glucose homeostasis and energy levels. Insulin secretion can be boosted by eating moringa leaves because of their nutrient content. Antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties are concentrated in the leaves. Add 50 g of fresh moringa leaves to a meal. Not only will the flavor be enhanced, but the increase in blood sugar will also be cut by 21%. They can be steamed like spinach or tossed in a salad.

  • Fenugreek:

The health benefits of fenugreek are numerous. It promotes glucose-dependent insulin secretion, aids in diabetes management, enhances glucose tolerance, reduces blood sugar levels, and helps control weight. If you want to lower your blood sugar, try this: every night, consume two tablespoons of fenugreek seeds soaked in water, and then consume the water and seeds the following morning on an empty stomach. Fenugreek seed powder can be taken once daily with either warm or cold liquids.

  • Water intake:

Those who have diabetes are more likely to become dehydrated. The kidneys will attempt to excrete glucose through the urinary tract, but this process requires water. One of the most prominent signs of diabetes is a need to drink more fluids than usual, and this is because the more sugar your blood contains, the more fluids your body needs. Drink a minimum of 2.5 liters of water per day to control your blood sugar level.
