Choosing the Best Hair Removal Method for You

Shorts and dresses weather is fast approaching, and if you are someone who prefers to get rid of your body hair, then you might be wondering if there are any different methods you can try that would suit you better.

There are plenty of options out there for removing body hair, but everyone and their skin are different, so what might work for someone might not work for someone else.

With that in mind, this piece is going to take a look at some of the hair removal methods that are on the market and which might be the best choice for you.

Read on to find out more.

Shaving

Shaving is easily one of the quickest and most effective options for removing hair from your body. Not only can you get your hands on razors from pretty much anywhere, but they are a one-step process that leaves your body feeling silky smooth. It might not be the best for those who don’t have a steady hand or for those who want their hair-free skin to last. Razors cut the hair off at the level of the skin, so you can expect for it to have grown a little by the next day.

That being said, this is a great method if you are in a hurry (but not too much of a hurry!) and is also very affordable!

Laser Hair Removal

On the other extreme, you have laser hair removal, which is recommended for those who want to maintain that hair-free feeling permanently. If you are sick of having to shave your legs every day or having to go to the salon to get your armpits waxed after growing them out, a permanent hair removal option such as this could be your saving grace.

Laser hair removal can be pricey, but many agree that it is worth it because of the lasting results. It is important that you get a consultation and go to a trusted clinic to get the procedure done as laser hair removal can be a little invasive. It works by lasering the hair at the root, retarding its growth so it doesn’t grow back. However, it is important to stay consistent with the procedure to get these results.

Waxing

Waxing is one of those options that is in between instant and permanent removal of body hair. The downside is that you do have to grow your hair out so the wax is able to get a grip, though some waxes can work with shorter hair. This isn’t always feasible in the summer months if you want to be hair-free. However, once you are waxed, the results can last around 3-6 weeks, which is great if you are going on holiday and don’t want to be faffing around (or disturbing your tan!). Waxing can be painful, but it can be a quick process with a high reward when done right. Just make sure to go to a trusted waxer if you are not doing it yourself.
