What Qualifications Do You Need To Start Practicing as a Dentist in New Jersey?

An applicant must provide a finished application to the Board that includes the items and information listed below in order to be considered an applicant for dental licensure:

1. A verified certificate from the director or head of a dental institution, university, or division of a university that has been authorized by the Council of Dental Accreditation attesting that the candidate has earned a dental education from the given institution.

2. A validated signature and passport-size picture of the candidate.

3. The outcomes of the exam-passed with a passing grade by the North East Regional Authority. 

The Council may mandate a candidate to take and carry a refresher class in the subject matter at a dental institution, college, or division of a university that has been accredited by the Council of Dental Accreditation if indeed the candidate starts to fail any part of the North East Regional Board test three times in a row. 

For a maximum of 5 years, the Board will acknowledge the timely accomplishment of the North East Regional Board test to be a dentist in Lincroft NJ.

4. The outcomes of successfully passing the National Board Dental Examination sections I and II.

5. The records of a test conducted within one year of the filing date show you have passed the New Jersey Jurisprudence test.

8. The candidates have to pay an application fee in accordance with NJAC 13:30-8.1.
